National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) has a job notification for ITI Trainees, Assistant (General) Trainees, Lab Assistant (Chemistry) Trainees, Diploma Trainees for 79 vacancies & Experienced Engineers for 203 vacancies. Candidates with the qualification of ITI and Diploma can apply for ITI/Diploma Trainee vacancies & Engineering graduates with 3 years of experience can apply for Engineers vacancies. Educational Qualification:

Detailed Eligibility:

  • Engineering Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical/Electronics/ Instrumentation with minimum 60% marks from recognized University/Institute (passing marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).
  • Minimum 3 years post qualification experience in Executive and/or Supervisory cadre in relevant area.
  • Experience Profile: Experience in operation & maintenance/ commissioning /erection of power plant equipment & auxiliaries.


Age Limit: 
  • 30 Years


Age Relaxation:

Upper age is relaxed by

  • 5 years for SC/ST candidates
  • 3 years for OBC candidates

  • 10 years for PwBD candidates

Qualification: ITI, Diploma, B.SC

NTPC Recruitment Eligibility Criteria,

Educational Qualification:

  • For ITI Trainee (Fitter/Electrician/(Instrument Mechanic):

  • Candidates should pass the 10th standard and full-time regular ITI Course in respective disciplines. The course must be approved by NCVT/SCVT

For Assistant Trainee (General):

  • Candidates should complete full-time Graduate and English typing 30WPM / 150
  • Keystrokes Per Minute

For Lab Assistant Trainee (Chemistry):

  • Candidates should complete the B. Sc. Chemistry in full-time regular (Chemistry must be subject in Final Year) / Graduate in Industrial / Applied Chemistry

For Diploma Trainee (Electrical):

  • Candidates should complete full-time regular Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering

For Diploma Trainee (Mechanical):

  • Candidates should complete full-time regular Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering
  • Note: Candidates who have acquired the qualifications through Distance Learning Mode will not be eligible


Age Limit(as on 31.08.2019):

  • ITI Trainees / Assistant (General) Trainees / Lab Assistant (Chemistry) Trainees: upper age limit is 37 years
  • Diploma Trainees: upper age the limit is 35 years


Selection process:
  • The selection process is based on the written test and the Skill Test. Shortlisted candidates in the written test will be called for skill test. For diploma trainee post the selection process will be based on the Stage-I & Stage-II written test.


For ITI Trainees / Assistant (General) Trainees / Lab Assistant (Chemistry) Trainees:

Written Test:

The written test will be on two parts, Part-I and Part-II
  • Part-I will be a knowledge test and it consists of 70 multiple choice questions in respective
disciplines
  • Part-II will be an aptitude test and will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions on General Awareness, Quantitative aptitude and Reasoning.
  • Each question carries 1 mark.
  • The duration of the test will be 2 hours

For Diploma Trainees:


  • Written Test:


Stage-I:

The written test will be on two stages, Stage-I and Stage-II
  • Stage-I will be Written Aptitude Test (120 multiple questions) covering General English, Quantitative aptitude & Reasoning will be conducted
  • Each question carries 1 mark
  • The duration of the test will be 2 hours

Stage-II:

Shortlisted candidates in stage-I will qualify for the Stage-II test
  • Stage-II has written technical Test (120 multiple questions) in the respective discipline.
  • Each question carries 1 mark
  • The duration of the test will be 2 hours
